Meet Our Pastors
Pastor Edward Allen, Founder/Senior Pastor
Founder and visionary of Freedom International Christian
Center, Pastor Edward J. Allen first received Jesus as his
Savior and Lord at age 11. Reared in the COGIC faith,
Pastor Allen grew in stature and in the knowledge of
God. But November 8, 1998, Pastor Allen’s life forever
changed. As a faithful member at Breath of Life Christian
Center, Memphis, Tennessee, he received the baptism of
the Holy Ghost and that experience coupled with sound
biblical teaching catapulted him into the deeper things of
God.
With his steps ordered by God, Pastor Allen left
Memphis to pursue his Bachelor degree in Business
Administration at Tennessee State University in
Nashville, TN. During this time, away from his “father’s
house” he began to desire more of God and sought out a
good bible teaching church which he found at Born Again
Church. Also, while at TSU, Pastor Allen married his
“good thing” in December 1992. He and his wife Erica,
have been childhood classmates and friends since age 12.
The Allens’ are the proud parents of two beautiful
children, Jerin Edward and Emani-Nicholle.
As a professional in the information technology field, Pastor Allen excelled in business with the
eventual relocation of his family to Orlando, Florida where his life takes another leap. One
month after arriving in Orlando, the Allens joined New Destiny Christian Center, then to their
offspring, One Accord Outreach Church and eventually to the place of his destiny: Citadel of
Life Cathedral. It was at Citadel where Pastor Allen’s teaching and preaching gift really
exploded. There he served as Trustee, Director of Christian Education, Bible Study teacher and
frequently ministered Sunday worship services in the Bishop’s absence. It was also in Orlando,
where Pastor Allen completed his BBA degree with a minor in Biblical Studies at Belhaven
College. Currently, he is pursuing his MDiv degree.
As a faithful servant and spiritual son of Bishop Larry Chester, Pastor Allen was sent out to
begin a work for the Lord in Nashville, Tennessee. With a vision to see God’s people completely
free spiritually, physically, and financially, the Allens’ are committed to teaching this Kingdomcentered
gospel to the utmost parts of the earth!
